Edited by Basak Senova, the book is the accumulation of the CrossSections which reflects on “process” with the aim of articulating critical reactions to the political, economic, and social disturbances challenging us today. Between 2017-2019, nineteen artists and nine institutions shared diverse realities, conditions, and strategies along with residencies, educational programmes, exhibitions, performances, and book launches in Vienna, Helsinki, and Stockholm. This idea unfolded through questions regarding exhibiting artistic research and completed works, and communicating the meaning of presentation and perception.

With 56 contributors, the book reviews all aspects of CrossSections, which proposes a new model for exhibition making by mapping and manifesting diverse artistic methodologies, and models of collaborative engagements and commitments under ever evolving and changing conditions and terms.
